The Couples Therapy a safe place to find support
The Couples Therapy a safe place to find support

Welcome to our page! We created this practice to offer something deeper than traditional therapy: attachment-centered, research-informed work that restores connection in couples, families, & high-conflict divorce cases.

Our team is trained in evidence-based attachment science and our structured Bridge Model for court-ordered reunification.

Because in a world where divorce rates are high, our mission is clear:

“When attachment heals, families transform.”

The Vision Behind Our Therapy Work

What began as a vision for meaningful relational healing has evolved into a clinically refined, attachment-based group practice serving couples, families, and court-involved cases throughout California.

Our work is grounded in attachment science, the understanding that early relational bonds shape emotional regulation, trust, identity, and relational security across the lifespan. When attachment is strained within couples, disrupted in families, or fractured during divorce and high-conflict custody matters, repair must be structured, developmentally attuned, and ethically guided.

In a time when divorce rates remain high and family systems are under increasing pressure, our goal is thoughtful and clear: to preserve and strengthen relationships whenever possible and to stabilize and protect families when separation occurs.

In couples therapy, we focus on restoring emotional connection before disconnection becomes permanent. In family therapy, we address systemic patterns that impact stability and long-term functioning. And particularly when divorce leads to high conflict and parent-child resistance, we approach reunification with clinical precision and emotional safety at the forefront.

For court-ordered reunification therapy, we implement our structured Bridge Model, a phased, evidence-informed framework designed to rebuild trust while safeguarding the psychological well-being of the child.

Lasting therapy impact

We are not focused on a temporary resolution. We are committed to long-term relational stability.

In couples therapy, this means strengthening bonds before separation becomes the only perceived solution.
In family systems work, this means reestablishing emotional safety and functional communication.
In court-ordered reunification therapy, this means restoring authentic parent-child relationships rather than enforcing surface-level contact.

Whether preserving a marriage, restructuring a co-parenting dynamic, or rebuilding attachment after conflict, our work is designed to create measurable, lasting change.

When relationships are approached with intention, science, and structure, families do not simply survive conflict, they rebuild with clarity and strength.

Find Balance with Therapy at The Couples Therapy in Montebello and Newport Beach

Our therapy model includes:

• Comprehensive clinical assessment and stabilization
• Individualized preparation sessions
• Structured therapeutic communication
• Gradual, clinically monitored reintroduction
• Supported conjoint sessions
• Transition planning aligned with court directives and long-term relational stability

We do not rush reconciliation.
We build it deliberately.

This is attachment-based therapy delivered with discretion, strategy, and depth.

Why This Work Matters

Divorce rates remain high, and children are often the silent carriers of relational trauma.

Maria believes that when safe and appropriate, families deserve a structured opportunity to repair, not just separate.

Her mission is to protect the emotional development of children, strengthen parental accountability, and preserve family bonds whenever clinically appropriate.

This work is not about forcing reconciliation. It is about restoring emotional safety, reducing intergenerational trauma, and helping families move forward with clarity and integrity.

When families are supported through conflict with intention and science, lasting healing becomes possible.
