The Heart Behind The Couples Therapy & Reunification Counseling
Meet the Experts Who Care
Our team of licensed therapists and dedicated staff bring years of clinical experience, compassion, and commitment to every session. But beyond our training and credentials, we are people who know the real challenges of relationships, because we’ve lived them too. We’ve faced struggles, learned better strategies, and discovered how research-proven techniques can truly transform the way couples and families connect.
At the core, it’s not just about therapy, it’s about relationships.
Feeling heard, loved, desired, and safe is what every person longs for, and what every family deserves. Our mission is to walk alongside you with tools that help you heal, rebuild trust, and experience the kind of union that lasts a lifetime. A relationship that is loving, healthy, and resilient, this is our goal, not only for the families we serve, but also as a guiding value for our own lives.

Our Approach to Healing!
When families fracture, when parental alienation creates painful distance, or when couples feel stuck in cycles of hurt, the pain runs deep. These struggles ripple through every part of life, leaving scars on trust, connection, and even hope. Healing, however, is possible. It takes more than time; it takes compassion, proven strategies, and a therapist who truly understands the weight of your story.
At The Couples Therapy and Reunification Counseling, we bring together clinical expertise and genuine care to help you find your way forward. Our approach is built on:
Trauma-Informed Care – providing a safe, supportive space that honors your history and nurtures healing at your pace.
Evidence-Based Modalities – using powerful approaches such as EMDR to process trauma, EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) to rebuild deep emotional bonds, and the Gottman Method to restore trust and strengthen relationships.
Client-Centered Strategies – tailoring every session to your unique goals, cultural background, and lived experience.
Solution-Focused Tools – equipping you with clear strategies that create lasting change in your daily life and relationships.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to help individuals, couples, and families reconnect, rebuild, and move forward with resilience, love, and hope.
When you meet our team, you’ll feel more than professional expertise, you’ll feel empathy, cultural understanding, and a genuine commitment to your healing. Whether you’re working through trauma, longing to rebuild trust, or seeking deeper connection, we will walk beside you every step of the way.
Who Do We Work With?
At The Couples Therapy and Reunification Counseling, we understand that every family and individual comes to us with a unique story. Our work spans across life stages, cultures, and challenges, but one thing remains the same: our commitment to helping you heal and reconnect.
We specialize in working with:
Families Experiencing Parental Alienation – guiding parents and children through the painful effects of alienation and helping restore trust and safety.
Separated & Divorced Parents – supporting high-conflict co-parenting situations with tools to reduce tension and create healthier communication.
Couples Seeking Deeper Connection – from rebuilding after betrayal to strengthening intimacy and communication, we help partners rediscover each other.
Individuals Healing From Trauma & Anxiety – providing EMDR, trauma-informed care, and emotional regulation strategies to foster resilience and peace.
Children & Teens – helping young people navigate difficult transitions, estrangement, and the impact of family conflict.
Families Facing Estrangement – working with parents, siblings, and adult children to bridge divides and rebuild lasting connections.

Frequently Asked Questions About
Therapy
-
We’re an out-of-network private-pay practice, which means we don’t bill insurance directly. However, we can provide you with a superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. We also partner with Mentaya to help make that process easier, and some of our therapists offer reduced-rate sessions to increase access to care.
-
Your free phone consultation is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what you’re struggling with, what kind of support you're looking for, and what therapy might look like with one of our clinicians. You can ask any questions you have, and together we’ll decide if we’re a good fit to work together—or help connect you with someone who is.
-
We know it can be overwhelming to figure that out on your own. That’s why we help match you with a therapist based on your needs, goals, personality, and preferences—whether it’s someone with specific experience in trauma, blended families, anxiety, reunification, or faith integration. You can also browse each clinician’s profile to see who feels like the right fit.
-
Yes! All of our therapists offer both online and in-person sessions. Whether you're located in Montebello, Newport Beach, or anywhere else in California (or Nevada, depending on the clinician), we’ll meet you where you are—literally and emotionally.
