Adaly “Addy” Mazakis

Addy is a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist at The Couples Therapy & Reunification Counseling, providing attachment-based, trauma-informed care to young children, individuals, couples, and families.

As a Latina clinician and daughter of immigrant parents, Addy understands that seeking therapy can feel unfamiliar, and at times intimidating, especially for those who are the first in their family to pursue support. Her work is grounded in cultural humility, emotional safety, and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience.

Drawing from her experience as the eldest daughter, Addy is especially attuned to individuals who have carried responsibility early in life and learned to navigate challenges on their own. She creates a supportive space where clients can slow down, feel understood, and begin to process the impact of early family roles, attachment patterns, and relational experiences.

At The Couples Therapy & Reunification Counseling, Addy supports clients in strengthening emotional connection, building insight, and developing tools that foster healing within themselves and their relationships. She is trained in the Quiroz Bridge Model and works with families navigating high-conflict dynamics, co-parenting challenges, and court-involved cases, providing structured, child-centered support throughout the process. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping clients move through fear, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm toward meaningful, lasting change.

Specialties

Addy specializes in perinatal and early childhood mental health, offering compassionate, attachment-based support to parents during pregnancy, postpartum, and the often-overlooked fourth trimester. She works closely with mothers and couples navigating the emotional, relational, and physical transitions into parenthood, whether they are first-time parents or expanding their families.

Her work focuses on supporting clients through identity shifts, overwhelm, anxiety, and the evolving roles that emerge during this stage of life. She helps parents strengthen emotional regulation, deepen connection with their child, and feel more confident in their role.

In addition, Addy supports couples in maintaining and rebuilding connection during the transition into parenthood, helping partners improve communication, deepen understanding, and navigate challenges together with greater intention and emotional attunement.
