Team Biography

Dowrin Suarez, LMFT

With over 26 years of shared life experience with her husband and more than two decades of building a family rooted in love, commitment, and resilience, Dowrin Suarez, LMFT, brings both clinical expertise and deeply lived wisdom into her work with couples and families.

Dowrin understands the beauty and complexity of long-term relationships, especially within Latino culture, where values such as family, loyalty, and connection run deep. She honors these cultural foundations while also recognizing the very real and evolving challenges couples and families face in today’s world.

At The Couples Therapy & Reunification Counseling, Dowrin provides attachment-based, trauma-informed care to couples, parents, children, and families navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. Her clinical experience includes working in DCFS-involved cases, supporting families in crisis, and helping stabilize high-stress environments with care, structure, and compassion.

Dowrin has experience in court-involved and court-ordered cases, where she works thoughtfully within complex family systems to support progress, accountability, and emotional safety. She is skilled in helping families move through conflict, rebuild trust, and establish healthier patterns of communication and connection.

Her work with couples focuses on breaking through communication barriers, addressing emotional disconnection, and helping partners reconnect in a meaningful and lasting way. She also supports parents in strengthening their relationships with their children, navigating co-parenting challenges, and creating more secure and supportive family dynamics.

Dowrin’s approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in creating a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported. She helps individuals and families slow down, gain insight, and move toward healing with intention.

Her work is not only about resolving conflict, but about helping people rediscover connection, rebuild trust, and create relationships that feel safe, stable, and fulfilling.

You do not have to navigate this alone. Healing is possible, and reconnection is within reach.
